Indication:
Prophylaxis of stress ulceration

Formulation:
Suspension 1g/5ml
Tablets 1g

Dose:
0-2yrs 250mg 4-6hrly
3-12yrs 500mg 4-6hrly
>12yrs 1g 4-6hrly

Side-effects:
Constipation, diarrhoea, nausea, indigestion, dry mouth, rash and dizziness

Interactions:
Decreased levels of tetracyclines, ciprofloxacin, phenytoin, cimetidine, digoxin, warfarin, thyroxine and ketoconazole.
