Hay fever season is particularly noted for worsening allergic conditions involving the oesophagus, defined as eosinophilic oesophagitis, which is a bit like eczema of the oesophagus. This classically presents with reflux-type symptoms or sometimes swallowing difficulties, especially for solid food.
